This staircase is in an historic schoolhouse that has been converted into a residence. The stairs were installed to access what used to be the attic of the school house, converted to 2 bedrooms. It was built without a railing and the couple who lived there had a toddler, so they hired me to install a railing to ensure his safety near the stairs.

This is an ongoing conversion of a storage area beneath a garage into a studio apartment. At this point, the apartment has been painted and is being finished. This is a deck that I built on an historic schoolhouse in Vermont. It is mostly ground level, except on one side where the owners had me include a built-in bench/ railing to prevent their toddler from walking off the edge. The video shows a stop-motion progression of the deck being built.

This staircase was built to extend from the house to a flat patio area up the hill in the backyard. The change of direction at the top was to fit the stairs between two tree stumps in the ground, using them as anchors for the stairs as well as the railing- which has yet to be completed.
